wondering about breeding

Hi i have had my russian tortoise for about 2 weeks now but i have had many tortoises and turtles in my past and i was thinking about buying a female tortoise since i have a male in a couple of months and i was wondering if there was anything special i would need 2 know bout buying a rt of the opposite sex and i what if there is anything special i would have 2 do to have them mate and produce babies please respond thanx

Health is the most important issue. quarentine any new tortoise

second is size. Until the tort is 5" or more. its hard to be sure you have a female.
