Hi everyone

I am new here. I have a russian tortoise that I just found out
I was taking care of all wrong. I got him for my daughter 10 months ago.
The people at the pet store gave me WRONG INFORMATION ON HOW
TO CARE FOR BOB. NOW I FEAR HE IS REAL SICK. HIS FEET ARE TURNING
BLACK, HOW DO I CUT HIS NAILS? THEY TOLD ME TO KEEP HIM IN A AQUARIUM
WRONG. Can Bob eat fresh spinish?
I went online tonight & found so much information. I am taking Bob to the vet tomorrow
I can't find info on his nails & about spinish
PLEASE HELP

Can you post a picture? The color change may be normal
 Russian tort nails are normally ling and don't need cutting

there should be a law (amended to current animal cruelty) that will cover bad advice from pet stores. Perhaps false advertising. I mean ... ??? is there something we can do about this problem? Report to the better business beureu? organize a Boycott of several key chain stores? It is just terrible the condition that these animals are in.  :'(

Joe,

I noticed you stated that Spinach was ok on occassion.  In other posts it appears to me that "on occassion"  means about once a month.  Is that reasoanbly accurate?
