It took us way longer than planned but, Natasha FINALLY got her new table!  I officially moved her in tonight!  Before you look at the picture I should probably explain...  My father teaches martial arts and has a gym near by, and my husband likes to build things and has a great sense of humor.  We were joking saying that she needed a "gym" in her hiding area so she can grow up to be a ninja turtle... Without my knowledge my husband made her "home" a replica of the outside of my dad's gym!  He added a fishtank surround so she looks like shes in the woods and a mirror that she was TOTALLY confused about at first.  The enclosure is about 2 feet by 4 feet in total but her house takes up 1 foot of that.  But, now I finally have room to put in some rocks for her to climb on that will hopefully help her warm side stay warmer and a water pan for her to use at her disposal as opposed to me taking her out every other day or so to soak her.  Granted it's bed time for her right now so she didn't investigate much, but I think she will be a lot happier and more comfortable in her new home!  I hope you all like it!  I would love to hear your thoughts!

And the award for most epic themed table goes to....

*Insert favorite TMNT quote here* ;D

(my only note, other than its awesome theming, would be that the substrate looks a little dry; though, it's a little hard to tell from that pic)

It's the lighting.  I literally just mixed that substrate so it is nice and moist!  I'm glad you like it though!!

Pretty cool!  It looks like you've got a mirror on the one side.  Torts react differently to them.  You may want to watch out for stressed behavior and cover it up if she doesn't like it.

I was concerned about the mirror too.  I noticed today she was watching herself eat in it but other than that she didn't seem to even notice it.  I will definitely keep an eye though.  Thank you!

I am SO happy today!!  In her new more accurately climate controled home, Natasha has stayed out "sunning" herself and exploring for the past 6 hours at least!  Before, since it got cold here in Chicago, she would come out, eat, "sun" for about an hour and then go back to bed...  I think/hope she is a LOT happier!!

It looks pretty amazing!
Glad to know she is settling in, and that she 'found' you.
