When I started posting here a year ago, redfoot owners were very scarce...

Now they're suddenly so popular! 8D

Welcome, fellow Redfoot owner. What a cutie!!

thanks guys!  Frankie is doing great, he finally got to meet his buddy (and hopefully potential house mate in a few years when he is bigger) today. I put him and my girl taylor in a small pen today after they got baths and gave them some grub, Taylor was a little scared of the tiny one at first but warmed up to him within a matter of minutes, they both went to the bowl and ate together

This is a photo I took right after Frankie stole Taylor's piece of lettuce, She just stared at him like this so confused lol!

Seeing this makes me happy, and sad!

My baby RF was shipped from Florida, when we had got her everything was ready. She seemed Ill and had deformities on her shell. In response I emailed the place I had got her from, and left negative reviews. They ignore and deleted them all.

Just a week ago, Koopa, our RF passed away. We were doing our best, I had lost my job soon after we got our RF(Koopa), and couldn't afford specialist/vet. She was doing really good active and everything. Then all of a sudden she stopped eating, so I thought maybe she wasn't hungry. She moved around very little. Then the day she died we got her mango's and vegies(fruits weren't fed to her more than once a month) blended them up for a dropper to try and drop feed her. Then I thought maybe she was stressed from our move from Oregon-Washington so I said let's leave her alone for a little bit, when we checked on her 40 minuets later she was stiff... my girlfriend refused to think she was dead, so she made sure, and left Koopa in her cage over night.... :(

we buried  her that morning in the back yard... :'(

Oh Zack, I'm so sorry to hear that! :'( It sounds like you did the best you could. I'm sure she knew she was loved.

If you ever decide (and I hope you do-they bring such joy) to get another, talk to Vicki Hale over at Tortoise Yard and she'll hook you up with the healthiest(and so adorable) hatchling you can find. You can even pick out which one you want from a gallery of all her hatchlings (she even lists their hatchdays and moms :D).

I'm so sorry for your loss.  :'(  It's so horrible to lose a pet, a member of your family.  You should still try and get your money back and I would leave the negative reviews there again!!  That's probably how they stay in business....no one has a clue how bad they really are because they delete all the bad stuff!  Definitely do what Robbie said if you decide to get another RF.  You can't go wrong with Vicki!  Again, I'm so sorry for you and your girlfriend.
