I know how you feel.  I told my husband I want more yesterday, I thought he was going to blow his lid.  I promised no more until we get a bigger house.  Just gives me more incentive to finish the reno so we can sell faster.

Hey guys, thanks for the support. It was like my girlfriend and mine's kid. It was really sad(we don't have children). When I made my purchase, I was posting on these forums, and seconds, I mean seconds after my purchase from said website, I got a post from Vicki about her hatchlings. I was a little heart broken, because going through a breeder then a website sounded a whole lot better. :/

Hey guys,

wanted to share some photos of my two redfoots outting today!

we made a little temporary outside pen for Taylor & Frankie to hang out in today,

cut a piece of plastic to fit over their tub, drilled lots of holes in it but I was still scared it wasn't going to be enough so we lifted it on the ends,
also added a fan on low to keep a breeze going since it was so hot out today. Planning to use a screen for the real outside hangout

My baby girl Taylor enjoying some hibiscus

Taylor & Frankie munchin together, I love when they get to hang out together during the day it makes me hopeful that when Frankie is bigger they will be able to live together and be friends

Little Frankie getting sleepy from all the adventure excitement of  the day

warm bath to get all that sand off Frankie burrowed in, then ready for nap time

Rose leaves and flowers are a good treat.......

If that is an elephant ear leaf in the first picture....get it out of there quick.
I know they are beautiful and great for shade but they are on the toxic list for torts!!.
I agree with you about the plastic being to hot for them and would have used the screen.
their little bodies over heat fast.  you can achieve the same thing by misting during the day
or...according to another post, use a wet towel on half of the pen.....that way you get humidity and shade!!!  ;)

you are doing a great job with them!  They are beautiful....after seeing your Taylor, I am wanting to get a YF!!   ;D

yes it is,  we had it clipped up where they could not reach it but it was just for today as this is only the temporary outdoor play area

unfortunately it has been raining so much in sw florida that they have not been able to go out much so today was a treat

the cover is so that I can go inside for a couple minutes and not have to worry about any neighbor cats coming up, I kept them sprayed and I'm hoping to have a repti fogger soon to set out with them on a garden timer. But I need to build a screen this week badly

my father is in the process of coming up with an outdoor table for them that will drain well but won't allow ants to get in and make a home over night. I plan to get a clip on fan also since breeze is minimal in a yard with so many trees

I want a place I can let them hang out in the sun and not have to be scared of land critters (and even air ones) bothering them,

thank you for the kind words!

;D  So happy you are enjoying them  ;D

Sounds like you are right on track with everything!!  you will LOVE having an outdoor pen.
I am in NJ so they are only out a few months a year and I really miss it over the winter.

I never though of the "fogger", Ill have to look into that.  Humidifiers work for indoors too.

Also, one of the plants I like to grow for them is hybiscus (spelling ??)
I get the tree variety....even though they die here every year they are worth the effort
for the leaves and flowers, not to mention the shade   (and for around $12 its not that bad)
I bet you can keep them year round in Florida!!

thanks irwin :)

the humidity is high here (which is good I guess) but it's just so darn hot here so I misted them with cool water every 15 minutes or so today so I just thought that having the fogger out there would make things easier

I actually just purchased a humidifier online this morninghttp://www.walmart.com/ip/Crane-Ultrasonic-Cool-Mist-One-Gallon-Humidifier-Elephant/14906781

I'm hoping to get tubing and silicone from home depot and run the tube into the tank, I want to compare it to the repti fogger I purchased from amazon and see which works better for indoors/outdoors
