Back in June of 2009 we had a Snapping Turtle come lay eggs in our yard I have the pictures if anyone wants to see them. I was coming home and thought I had a dead animal in my yard and woooooaaaahhhh watch out its Big Bertha laying about 50 eggs in my yard. I looked up the incubation period and marked the calendar and when they didnt emerge my husband and I dug them up sadly 2 didnt survive but 48 did and we revived them by giving them a bath then we took all 48 hissing hatchlings to the river and let them go. It was incredibly neat to see.
