Please can someone help me
« on: March 23, 2006, 07:58:43 AM »
I have a tortoise that we have had since a baby and is 8. He went missing last June and we thanked our luck when he was found a month ago in the field nearby. we took him to the vet yesterday who examined him and said he was fine. she wormed him orally and we bought him home. Sadly, This morning we woke to find him dead. His head was out and his eyes wide opened and what looked like dry blood from his noise. He was still quite sleepy yesterday and they put him in hot water and an incubator to wake him as he was cold as he has been outside - he was however indoors last night - has anyone done anything wrong. Please help we are all so upset.

I am saddened to hear about your loss.   :'(
Be careful with those temperature changes, cooking a cold turtle is hard on Karma.
One way to help with loss is to support a Tort Rescue organization. Volunteer time or write a check.

We are so sorry to hear about the loss of your tortoise.  We recently lost a tortoise from what we think was inapproprtiate feeding by the pet store.
We were devestated as I am sure you are. I purchased a headstone from a great person who sells them on ebay.  I don't know if you are interested in this type of thing, but it made me feel a bit better.

Can you give me a link or email address for the headstone on Ebay?  I lost a cat recently.  I buried her in my back yard and have been searching for a headstone I like ever since.  Thanks!

Dear Chris,

I could not find the name and address for the person I bought the headstone from.  I think because we ended up doing the transaction off ebay.  I remember the name on the return address label as SevenYearEtch.

However, ebay has many vendors.  Go to ebay and search for "Pet Memorials" and Pet Headstones.  You will find a variety of vendors and styles to suit you.

Hope this helps
